The USDA has extended the community feeding program, which allows Florence City Schools to make sure every child age 18 and under receives nutritious meals at no cost. FCS will distribute meals at each of our four designated pick-up locations used for remote/virtual feeding.
- Pick-up locations are Harlan Elementary, Weeden Elementary, Florence Middle School, and Florence High School.
- Meals are distributed Monday-Friday between 12:15 P.M. and 1:15 P.M.
- All children must be present at the time of pick-up to receive breakfast and lunch meal bags.
- Feeding the Falcons is open to ALL children age 18 and under.
The leadership of Florence City Schools is now releasing our 2020 Back to School Guidance Plan and it can be found at www.florencek12.org/backtoschool. Decisions within this plan were made with the most up-to-date information available through the Alabama Department of Public Health, the Alabama State Department of Education, the Alabama High School Athletic Association, along with other federal and state agencies.
FCS takes great pride in keeping the safety and well-being of the Falcon Family at the forefront of our decisions. We ask our stakeholders to please understand our Back to School Guidance Plan is a fluid document and could change at any time. If this plan must be amended, communications will be sent out through our schools and the Florence City Schools Board of Education.
