Mrs. Johnna Stafford

Mrs. Stafford is a native of Pelham, Alabama and began her career as a music educator in 2000 and has had the pleasure of teaching at Oak Mountain Middle School in Birmingham, the Kilby Child Development Center, Colbert County High School, Hibbett Middle/Florence Middle/Florence High, the University of North Alabama and currently serves as a music specialist at Forest Hills Elementary.

She received her undergraduate in Music Education from the University of Alabama where she was the principal bassoonist in the wind ensemble and orchestra. She also enjoyed being a member of the “Million Dollar Band.” Mrs. Stafford received her Master’s in Education Administration from the University of North Alabama and serves as UNA adjunct faculty where she has taught applied double reeds, elementary music methods and woodwind methods courses.

Mrs. Stafford remains an active professional bassoonist performing in a variety of ensembles in the including the Shoals Symphony where she is principal bassoonist. Mrs. Stafford is a member of AMEA, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Sigma Alpha Iota Women’s Music Fraternity.

She and her husband, Jeremy have 2 precious children, Claire and Owen.
