I'm proud to have been born and raised in The Shoals. I lived in Tuscaloosa while attending The University of Alabama to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. I was hired as one of the first elementary art teachers in Florence City in 1995. After teaching at Kilby for four years from 2008-2011, I returned "home" to Florence City in 2012 and remain at Weeden Elementary as the art teacher. I earned my Master's Degree in English for Speakers of Other Language in 2017 from UNA and hope to utilize that knowledge as I continue working with the precious students at Weeden.
