I have lived in the Shoals since 1998. I began teaching in 2000 in Lauderdale County and came to Florence High School in 2013, where I have been very fortunate to teach Spanish I through AP Spanish IV. I have served as the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica advisor, the Spanish Club advisor, senior sponsor and yearbook advisor. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of North Alabama, a master's degree and all but dissertation in Spanish literature from the University of Alabama. I have served as the treasurer for the Alabama FCEA and enjoy taking my students to compete in our state Spanish Club Convention. My three beautiful children attend or graduated from Florence City Schools and am grateful for the impact this system has had on my family.
