I truly enjoy working with school and community stakeholders so that my multilingual students can connect with the language of the school and the community and meet their language and academic targets.
I grew up in Guatemala, where I received instruction in all my subjects in German, Spanish, and English. My international experiences as a high school exchange student in Alabama and a university student in Vienna, Austria led me to pursue a teaching degree where I could use my love of learning, languages, diversity, and cultures. I understand the huge responsibility that educators have in shaping the future of students' lives and I am committed to helping my students achieve.
I am a proud Florence Falcon and the 2019-2020 Alabama Teacher of the year. I am grateful to be surrounded by some of the best administrators and colleagues who continue to inspire me with their leadership, vision, and commitment to help ALL students become the best version of themselves.
