Hello! I am Teri Gehring, the Special Education Resource Teacher for grades K-3 at Weeden Elementary.  This is my 29th year of teaching and my 6th year in the area of Special Education.  I attended Northwestern State University located in Natchitoches, Louisiana (my hometown) earning degrees in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Special Education.  In 2012, I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Triple Literacy Focus from the University of Texas in Arlington, where I was  able to receive my Certification as a Reading Specialist.  

I have had the opportunity to teach in Louisiana from 1994-98 grade 5, in Mississippi from 1998-2004 grade 5, and Texas from 2005-2021 grades 3-4 ESL for 12years, Instructional Specialist for 3 years and Special Education for 4 years.  This is my 2nd year at Weeden, and it has been the best experience of my teaching career.  I am excited about furthering my career in FCS!!!
