I'm Matthew Bonds, currently serving as the Dean of Students. With nine years of classroom teaching experience under my belt, I transitioned into this role to further my passion for fostering a positive and supportive educational environment for ALL students.
Professional Background
Before becoming Dean of Students, I dedicated nearly a decade to teaching, where I honed my skills in student engagement, curriculum development, and classroom management. These years in the classroom provided me with invaluable insights into the challenges and triumphs that students and teachers face daily.
My Philosophy
My goal as Dean of Students is to create a culture where students feel safe to learn and grow. I believe that a secure and nurturing environment is fundamental for academic success and personal development. Building meaningful relationships with students is at the core of my approach, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
Personal Life
I am fortunate to share my life with my wonderful wife, who is also an elementary school teacher. Together, we are raising two incredible children: Clara Beth, who is five, and Teddy, who is three. Our family experiences the joys and challenges of education both at work and at home, providing me with a well-rounded perspective on the importance of education in shaping young minds.
I am dedicated to making a positive impact on our students and am always here to support and guide them on their educational journey.
