Hi, my name is Hayley Vandiver. I live in Tuscumbia, AL with my husband, Blake and our two children, Emma Kate (5) and Eli (2). We are from West Tennessee but moved here 3 years ago. I’ve been a stay-at- home mom the last 2.5 years since my son was born. I graduated in December 2013 and began my teaching career in the fall of 2014 as a third grade reading teacher at Bethel Springs Elementary school. I obtained my master’s degree of Elementary Education in 2017. I was chosen Teacher of the Year at my school in the 2018-2019 school year, and I also earned tenure that year. I taught there for 7 years before moving to Alabama. My husband works in Huntsville as an engineer. I taught briefly at Riverhill in Florence before my son arrived early. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a stay-at- home mom, but I am excited to return to the classroom teaching the grade I love - 3rd grade. Teaching is my passion and my calling. My goal is to meet my students exactly where they are and help each one of them to grow socially, emotionally and academically. I aim to make learning fun and make sure my students know how much I love and care about them. I look forward to this new school year and am blessed to be a part of the Forest Hills Family!
