My family and I just moved to Florence from Prattville. We are very excited to be here, and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Forest Hills! My husband, Blake, is a history professor at UNA. We have three daughters, Maleah, Macey, and Maddie, and a goldendoodle named Logan!
Some of my favorite things are: reading, singing, playing piano, listening to podcasts, working in the yard, and catching critters! I also love traveling and exploring new and exciting places with my family.
As a teacher, it is my goal to foster a love of learning in my students. Education is more than just about reading, writing, and arithmetic. It's about curiosity, discovery, investigating, and creating. I encourage and challenge my students to apply what they are learning to real-world situations, and hope to produce students who are lifelong learners!
