I have recently moved to Florence, AL to be near family. I am originally from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where I taught fifth grade for sixteen years. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6, and I have an endorsement in reading. I have  specifically taught reading and writing for the last seven years.  I am very excited to be working at Forest Hills and being able to continue to teach fifth grade. Fifth graders are wonderful to work with as they are starting to become young adults and I just love this age. I cannot tell you how nice the staff has been and everyone has welcomed me into this amazing community with open arms. The kids are so sweet, and I have loved every minute of my transition, total life change, to Florence, AL. 

      My son-in-law is a youth minister at one of the churches in Florence while my daughter stays home to take care of my grandsons. My other daughter and son-in-law graduated from USA in Mobile and are Doctors of Physical Therapy. 

     Some of my favorite things are God, kayaking, waterfalls, flowers(especially sunflowers), the mountains and I love tacos.
