Superintendent's Message

Dear Families and Community,

Welcome to Florence City Schools! It is an honor to serve as your Superintendent and to be part of a school system with a long tradition of excellence. Our mission is to provide every student with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in school and in life.

The greatest strength of Florence City Schools is our people. Our outstanding teachers, administrators, and support staff are dedicated professionals who are committed to helping every student reach their full potential. They create classrooms and schools where students are challenged, supported, and inspired every day.

Florence City Schools is proud to offer exceptional opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. From strong academic programs to award-winning Fine Arts, innovative Career and Technical Education, and a proud tradition of excellence in athletics, our students are encouraged to discover their passions and develop the skills needed for a successful future.

Our 2026–27 theme, "Falcons Connect," reflects our belief that meaningful relationships are the foundation of student success. When schools, families, and our community work together, we create an environment where every student can thrive.

Thank you for visiting our website and for your support of Florence City Schools. We invite you to learn more about our schools and the many opportunities available for our students. Together, we will continue building on our tradition of excellence.

Go Falcons!

Sincerely,

Billy W. Hopkins Jr.
