Substitute Teaching

In an effort to make the process of placing substitute teachers more efficient and to provide greater benefits for our students, Florence City Schools has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing. Through this agreement, substitute teachers will also enjoy a variety of benefits, including a comprehensive training program and weekly paychecks. 

Instructions for Applicant - Florence City Schools

  1. Create an AIM account - AIM Log in screen
  2. Log In
    • Log in to your AIM account.
  3. Background Check - Background Check Instructions 
    • Once logged into the AIM portal, follow the attached instructions to complete the background check.
  4. Complete Application - Substitute Application Form
  5. License Issuance
    • Florence City Schools will complete our portion online 
    • You will receive an email from the Alabama Department of Education to complete your portion once Florence City Schools has completed its portion.
  6. License Update
    • You will receive an update when your license is issued to your email address.
