Athletic Director Myra Miles provides 2026 game day procedures and expectations

FLORENCE, Ala. — Florence City Schools Athletic Director Myra Miles released a video on Wednesday to provide families with information regarding Friday night's game against the Jasper Vikings. The video also details general home game day procedures and expectations for the school year:

One of the big events that we're having on Friday night is Youth League Night recognition. So we need all of you parents whose children play in the youth football program, the youth flag football program, the youth cheer program, to have your children at 6:15–6:20 p.m. at the lower gate at the stadium, right behind the Jumbotron. They are to meet with their coach, and then we will get the program started. Once you drop your children off, you will need to purchase your ticket and get a good seat.

At 6:30 p.m., our little youth cheerleaders are going to perform on the track, and we're looking forward to a really good, enthusiastic start to the night. Once they finish their routine and their cheers, the cheer coaches will take them up into the stands to you so they can come and sit with you.

Our youth football teams and youth flag teams will be recognized, and once they are recognized, once the Falcons come out and get ready to take the field, they will run out behind the team onto the field. Once they do this, their coaches will bring them into the stands to meet you. At 6:40 p.m., we will be making a special presentation for the Charles Caine Anderson Sr. Field.

Just remember, we do not allow drop-offs. Any children that come to the game must be accompanied with a parent. Our expectation for everyone is to get to your seats, stand, and cheer the Falcons on.

At the end of every game, once our team shakes hands with our opponent, they will then come back over in front of the band and sing the alma mater. At that point, we will put 20 minutes up on the clock, then our SROs are going to allow our families, and friends, and students out on the field to take pictures and celebrate with everybody on the field. Once the 20 minutes is off of the clock, the field has to be cleared.

I do want to remind you: when you come down on the field, there will not be any activity allowed on the field at that time.
