Fort Braly: Defending our Turf: FHS Homecoming Week set for September 15–20

FLORENCE, Ala. — Florence High School's Homecoming Week is set for September 15–20. 2025's theme is "Fort Braly: Defending our Turf."

In the homecoming tradition, each day of the week offers students and staff the opportunity to dress up in a corresponding theme. The themes for this year are:

• Monday - The Great Outdoors (Wear flannel or hiking gear)
• Tuesday - Teacher/Student Swap (Teachers dress like students and students dress like teachers)
• Wednesday - An Army of Minions (Dress like your favorite minion)
• Thursday - Florence Spirit Day (Wear Falcon Gear)
• Friday - Fort Braly: Defend our Turf (Wear camouflage)

The homecoming parade is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, at 7 p.m. Lineup will begin in the Pine Street southbound lanes. Entries will line up based on the order of arrival beginning at 6 p.m. All entries must be set no later than 6:45 p.m.  

The parade will roll at Pine Street and Irvine Avenue and continue south onto Court Street, before turning east onto Tennessee Street, and north onto Seminary Street. The route continues north on Seminary and will end at Tuscaloosa Street. Upon reaching Seminary and Tuscaloosa streets, entries will exit the route by turning east onto Tuscaloosa Street. Entries are asked not to impede the flow of traffic by emptying floats while still in the right-of-way. 

Parade applications must be submitted by 3 p.m. on Friday, September 12. Lineup placements should be received no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16. 

On Friday, September 19, the Florence Falcons will host the Bob Jones Patriots for the homecoming game at Braly Stadium at 7 p.m.

Homecoming week will end for students on Saturday, September 20, with the Florence High School Homecoming Dance from 7–9 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, September 11, during lunch waves. Advance tickets (cash only) are $5. $10 tickets will be available at the door (cash or on GoFan).
