Crystal Delano is the Local Reading Specialist at Harlan Elementary School and is proud to be a Florence Falcon!

Teaching has been her life’s calling for more than 25 years. She began her college career in accounting but soon realized she would rather work with children than numbers. She completed her degree in Elementary Education at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. After moving to Alabama, Mrs. Delano’s teaching career ranged from Kindergarten through middle school but spent most of her teaching years in First Grade. Mrs. Delano is happy to now be coaching teachers to be great Reading teachers!

Mrs. Delano was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She is married to Ken, a counselor, minister and outdoorsman and also her best friend. They have enjoyed over 40 years together in service, ministry and mission works. The Delanos have three children. Mrs. Delano enjoys camping, reading, sewing, and outdoor activities but her favorite activity is spending time with her six grandchildren.
