Meet the Assistant Principals

  • Hello Forest Hills Family! My name is Clarke Jackson. I am one of your assistant principals here at Forest Hills Elementary. I have been employed in the Florence City Schools system since 2012. I started as the ISS teacher and then transitioned to the Health Education teacher at Florence High School. I was also employed as an athletic trainer for the North Alabama Bone & Joint Clinic, covering Florence High School athletics for 15 years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (UAH) and master’s degrees in Health Promotion & Human Performance (UNA) and Physical Education (UNA). I also have Instructional Leadership add-on Certification (UNA).

My role as assistant principal is to provide a safe and secure learning environment and support our students, faculty, and staff. I believe in providing our students with a foundation of love, trust, respect, and discipline while motivating them to become the best versions of themselves mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially. This foundation is key to student development.

  • Hello Falcon Family! My name is Konnie Lee. I am deeply honored to serve as an Interventionist and Assistant Principal at Forest Hills Elementary School. I began working in the Florence City School System in 2005. During my teaching career, I have taught third grade and served as the TOPS Program teacher. Prior to pursuing a career as an educator, I worked as a Registered Nurse for thirteen years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Elementary Education, an Education Specialist degree, and an add-on certification in Instructional Leadership, all from the University of North Alabama.
In a fast-paced world filled with uncertainty and continual change, the value of a first-class, high quality education is perhaps more important now than ever before. As an Instructional Leader at Forest Hills Elementary, I am committed to partnering with faculty, staff, and parents to empower students to be their best, and to foster a love for learning that will provide a strong foundation for a bright future. Thank you parents for entrusting your most precious asset to us. I am truly honored and blessed to be a part of Forest Hills Elementary School.

  • I was born and raised in Russellville, Alabama but have lived in Florence since 1990. I am married to Mike Holt, and we have one daughter, Karly Grace (FHS 2019 graduate). I enjoy spending time with my family.  My hobbies include running, reading, traveling, watching basketball, and attending Alabama football games. I completed all of my degrees in education at the University of North Alabama. My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education, Instructional Leader in Administration, and Education Specialist. I began my career in 1998 at Riverhill, then taught in the Sheffield City Schools system for several years before becoming a Florence Falcon in 2007. I have taught multiple grade levels throughout my career, including a K-5 STEM lab. I currently serve as an Assistant Principal at Forest Hills. I love being a part of Florence City Schools.
