Take me out to the ballgame!

  • Very excited about the upcoming baseball season! We have several returners who will have an immediate impact on the season. We will open up with Central High on Feb. 13th at Central. The weekend of Feb 15th, we have Etowah High School out of Woodstock, Georgia coming to Florence. They were state champions in 2017.
We have several juniors and seniors who will help lead the way for the Falcons this year. We begin with Sr. Cade Henry who is a University of South Alabama commit. He will lead this talented pitching staff. He is a three year starter for us on the mound. Along with Cade, we have Jr. pitcher and first baseman Grant Taylor. Grant is an LSU commit. He has made an impact for the falcons dating back to his 8th grade year. In addition to those two, we have Cason Henry who is a University of Miami commit. He will not only pitch for us, but will also help us defensively and with the bat. Three year starter Ben Arnett, who is a Wallace Hanceville commit, will continue to lead this team in many aspects of the game. He is a great defender and proven hitter for the team. He is also a great vocal leader too. Carson Sweetwood will also return as the starting shortstop. He played exceptionally well at the position last season. Sam Bowling, who is still uncommitted, will help the the team tremendously. He can play multiple positions and handle the bat very well! Bryce Linville, who is the overall captain of the team, will return as one of the catchers who will continue to help gel the pitching staff. Jr. infielder/pitcher Zeke Bishop will try and continue his hot hitting from last season. He had an outstanding season as a sophomore. He is also a University of South Alabama commit.
Several underclassmen will look have an impact on the team. They will be expected to come in and be a game changer. Those student-athletes are Parker White, Preston McAlexander, Sam Sneed, and Raleigh Claunch.
