Florence High 2023 Homecoming Parade set to roll September 21 at 7 p.m.

2022 FHS Homecoming Parade

FLORENCE, Ala. — It’s hard to believe that Homecoming 2023 is just around the corner. The festivities begin on Thursday, September 21, at 7 p.m. with the Florence High School Homecoming Parade.

The homecoming theme for 2023 is “Talk to Me, Falco,” a reference to the quote, “Talk to me, Goose,” from the 1986 action film, “Top Gun.”

The parade route will have floats lined up on Pine Street from Flowers Hall to Norton Auditorium. The parade will begin by turning left onto Irvine Avenue, followed by a right onto Court Street. The route continues south on Court Street before turning left onto Tennessee Street, left onto Seminary Street, and ending at Wilson Park.

Applications to participate in the parade must be submitted by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13. The application, which includes a link to the parade rules, can be found here.

If parade participants do not receive their lineup placement by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, they can contact Casey Hester at cwhester@florencek12.org or Robin Thompson at rmthompson@florencek12.org.

Homecoming will continue Friday, September 22, as the Falcons take on the James Clemens Jets at Braly Stadium at 7 p.m.
