Putting Fore the Falcons returns for third-annual event on Saturday, April 26

Putting Fore the Falcons 2024

FLORENCE, Ala. — The Florence Education Foundation’s (FEF) third-annual Putting Fore the Falcons is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025, bringing another fun-filled afternoon of mini-golf, games, and community spirit to the Forest Hills Elementary School gymnasium. The event helps fund classroom grants that benefit teachers and students across Florence City Schools.

The 2024 event raised $18,852—a more than $4,600 increase from its inaugural year—and included expanded activities. Organizers are hoping this year’s event will be even bigger.

“This event really helps the foundation to be able to provide more funding to the classrooms,” FEF Executive Director Miranda Haddock said.

In 2024, guests enjoyed extra putt-putt holes, carnival-style attractions like Plinko—crafted by FHS welding students—and a dunking booth that gave participants a chance to dunk teachers, coaches, principals, and even football players. The event also featured a prize wheel, inflatables, balloon animals, a hole-in-one challenge, and elementary school show choir performances. Six area food trucks added to the festive atmosphere, ensuring no one left hungry.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., and come out to support Florence City Schools in a unique and entertaining way!
