FLORENCE, Ala. — On Thursday, April 17, Florence Middle School is opening its doors to a Madison County university for an evening of music and entertainment.

The Alabama A&M University Concert Band will perform as part of its southeast concert tour. The free event will take place in the FMS auditorium at 7 p.m.

FMS Band Director Brian Jay said he is extremely excited that the school can host such an outstanding collegiate group. "The Alabama A&M University band program sets the standard of performance incredibly high with every ensemble they offer," he said. "We are incredibly grateful that our students and community will have a chance to attend this free public concert."
