INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Two Florence High School wrestlers earned All-American honors this past weekend after placing at the Adidas Nationals Wrestling Tournament in Independence, Missouri.

Freshman Jackson Shatley placed seventh in his weight class, while senior Ryan Johnson finished fourth. Their top-eight finishes qualify both athletes as All-Americans — a first in the history of the Florence wrestling program.

The Adidas Nationals Tournament draws top high school wrestlers from across the country, making the All-American designation a prestigious achievement in the sport.
